Cuckoo's Nest Part 4
Lastly things come to a close. Guy slowly checked themselves out of the facility and they returned to normal society. Bibbitt was found having sex with Candy which was Mcmurphy's girl friend and he was going to be punished for that but in the meantime he actually committed suicide. Mcmurphy attacks ratched because he feels as though she is responsible for this death. He is then sent to Disturbed where they perform a lobotomy and as the men left to keep them under control they were told the guy recieving the lobotomy wasnt McMurphy!
Cuckoo's Nest Part 3
In this the Part they all do break away and they go for a boat ride (fishing trip) I believe this shows the freedom of their minds now. Rached had control over them when they were oblivious to the fact that you can possibly over ride something if you have enough man power. Also this is similar to when moses leads his people to the red sea and basically makes a passage way for them to walk. McMurphy made a beautiful effort by telling the men of the boat that they were doctors going on a fishing trip.
Cuckoo's Nest Part 2
Part two reminds me of the story of moses and how he led people to freedom. Previously McMurphy hasn't had everyone's trust but ,as moses did, slowly but surely people are starting to respect what he is about and also starting to trust him a lot. The interesting this is that Mcmurphy is currently learning the people in the facility. Through this exploration of the patients McMurphy just like moses realizes his call to duty in basically helping to protect the patients of the facility.

Cuckoo's Nest Part 1
Part 1 of this book made me actually think about the many people who are in a psychiatric facility. Due to the fact we learn about the many characters and their behaviors it just shows that some people like McMurphy are not always mentally disturbed. I mean so far this has been set up like a Lost or like a movie because i mean you have your handicapped or underdog main characters, your opposing forces (the bad guys) which happens to be the black aids. Its like Nurse Ratched is kinda like the leader of the opposing force and she controls the fate of the underdog. Being as though this is the premise for a lot of shows lately this relationship shows how real these events actually could be.
Response to the Lantern Theater Performance
I as an artist am not surprise by amazing performances just because in my opinion if you re going to be apart of an art form you must put your all into it as if its the last time you are ever going to perform or display the talent again. This play was absolutely stimulating to my ears. Yes its a bit over the top but I am a firm "hater" of plays without music just because of the lack of excitement for me. After seeing these people in a sense "modernize" this play, which is probably older than everyone's age combined in the room, I have a newfound love for shakespeare! Hamlet was over the top which appealed to me. The nonchalant attitude reminded me of my self. Even though the play was read before we witnessed the performance seeing a superb live performance of this work was a rejuvenation of the play for me. I would actually like to thank you Mr. Fiorini for organizing this trip.
Hamlet Act 1
What the heck is going on? I dont understand how hamlet can even actually function. He sees his father's ghost and he tells him to avenge his death. Going to funerals bother me. I feel like Hamlet is courageous for even attempting to come to to this ghost and receive the message. Also I think he is alot smarter than his family thinks. Once they realize it, if they realize it, hamlet will not get away with anything. Also he needs to figure out a way t prove his fathers murder. Due to the fact that Hamlet is sort of a disturbed genius (in out smarting people, trickery, etc) he will figure out a way to get to the bottom of this problem. The men who were keeping watch are all noble just because they cared so much to tell Hamlet about the horrid things that they saw or believed they saw. They are true friends. Well I am sort of anxious to see what is going to happen is the future of this play.
Coleridge and Shelley Post
1. The power of the imagination is often exalted in romantic poetry. In your opinion, does "Kubla Khan" celebrate the imagination or caution against its indulgence? To whom might Coleridge be writing and for what purpose(s)?
The poem Kubla Khan in my opinion fancies both alternatives. The way that it happened to be written, he has references to people and factual images but by the superlative explanations given there is a sense of fantasy or imagination. I due to the fact that he is using regular ideas that kinda plays along with the idea that use imagination wisely.
I personally believe Coleridge was trying to write t those who are caught up in life and refuse to live a little or better yet dream. In essence he just wants the readers to think outside of the box and kinda stay outta the little square called the "comfort Zone.
